Building one of the very interesting things about learning to very high-end home theater is that you get to know the default, how to build some very good theater budget. Like everything else in life, equipment, audio and video starts a rapid decline in return on investment or return on investment of a certain price level. Just as we expect a Toyota to a Lexus, a nicer car and where you spend a lot more money than Wall speakers are the same way.
ActuallyThis applies to all aspects of building a home theater or media room. I'm going to use it in a couple of secrets that you spend less money and much more can be from your home entertainment experience. The first thing to understand is that the room is 50% of the problem. If you have a large family room open to improve the sound can not have, spent money on the speakers is really money well spent. Better speakers, better in the best rooms.
A dear friend has made some 'very niceOutdoor audio room, using a tool shed kits from local businesses to the floor house sounds, and bamboo and turned it into a sound space study of a degree. In this space, even subtle differences in the speakers was very clear. Larger speakers do not necessarily need more volume, which was not wanted, but they were able to add depth and "heat" to add the music.
And 'where the speakers are not like cars. The old adage "it's more fun to drive a fast car slow, then a fast car slow" is notalso applies to the speakers. Run small cheap speakers will not sound nearly as good as the best speakers reproduced below. Never buy the cheapest speaker or smaller. The sound can be on the blast and small speakers can not move enough air, which is simple physics.
Most of the media room at home do not follow the correct size and structure of the sound. THX is a fantastic home theater design, of course, how to cover the size of a space engineer. Since 80% of us build our media room or home theater in aexisting home, we have what we do. Fortunately, the consumer electronics industry and many manufacturers are aware of their processors in the receiver to correct imperfect room.
So my advice is quite simple, for in-wall speakers do not choose the cheaper and smaller speaker is available, it will sound cheap, no matter what you do. With a good middle-class-of-the-road speakers in cabinets or wall, if you have a room open media. The place to spend money on audioHere are the subwoofer and receiver. Need a subwoofer bigger, go into the air by a large open room. The walls amplify the sound in a space that is enclosed so that you can use a slightly smaller subwoofers in a separate room. If you have a dedicated space that is rectangular in shape, then good speakers to make sense, if you can work around your budget with them. The folks at THX have a lot of testing to make sure that the speakers sound right, so as to make it easier on yourself and take advantage of THX-certified speakers, if youtry to build a really good theater.
Since this is not a really good theater, it is to build a large room on a budget, it leaves us with just a few slightly above the bottom line in the wall or stick field speakers. If you can get the wires in the wall, use wall. Even the speakers, at least 5-inch drivers and 3.5 speakers on the wall "speaker cabinet. Cabinets be smaller, because the window is located, has experienced a response. The smaller cubesor satellite speaker set budget just will not cut no matter how hard you try.
As far as receivers go, I prefer Denon and B & K, both brands work only. The only brand of subwoofer Velodyne never advised by the best you can afford. Now for the fun part, the screen. A room with a breathtaking sound average to 90% of people out there, if the pictures rock your socks off, so here are the tricks of the budget. As for top-quality bang for the buck imageMitsubishi WD-Series offers the best image for the money now from 65 inches to 80 inches. Budget picture theater in a box no doubt. You can get a little 'picky with HDMI but because you go to a really high-quality HDMI cable with it.
If you want something more, there is nothing better than a projection of the true cinematic experience. There are a lot of really good projectors for less than $ 3000 Once you realize that in most normal setting distancesPeople can not understand the difference between 720p and 1080p you find that you get a pretty good projector at a good price. Remember, the higher you go the brighter the lamp needs. Lumens are ok for comparison, and be sure to use the power of the bulb, and compare. LCD LCOS lose most of the light inside and DLP is the most efficient.
You get the clearest picture per watt for most of a DLP. The problem is DLP have moving parts, if youreceive one of these really cool (and expensive) LED Runco projectors. The parties movign means noise a little 'more, and something else to break. LED headlamp down in price, that the way to go. The new laser projector sound too promising.
The next step is obviously the screen. The super-budget trick with a "color free" gray and paint the screen on any smooth wall inside or out. If you order the color that you want to start with a clean white base and add only "Lamp Black"or "pure white" and a gray tint to reach the 1% to 5%. The gray color helps with the black level of the projector and can help the visual "hot spot" for people to sit cut at the center.
In determining the amount of gray that is used for the color, is a bit 'of conjecture. If you do it outdoors or indoors in a room with many windows, you can use the 5%. In fact, out there I could go as low as 7% or 10% gray when the outdoor lighting or pool lightingwould be during the movie. If you are not sure where to start, then the color is relatively cheap to start brighter dark gray, and when the image appears bright or washed out. If you are varying shades of color screen and see a movie and as light as' complicated, and a dark movie like Men in Black. Then decide which shade of gray that you like better. DLP projectors use about 1% more of a gray LCOS projectors and LCD are all over the board with the paint, so it isExperiment in pure numbers.
In reality, you can create an open-air theater with a projector, screen painting on the wall, five speakers with a receiver Economic rock hidden inside an outdoor kitchen to build very profitable. You can use all the same tricks, a multimedia room of the house very cheap to build with good built-in speakers. If you know someone who does not pay, the work is not favorable because of the cost of labor. At this level of performance is the cost of laborgenerally higher than the cost of equipment. So if you're willing to do it alone, you can build a very nice room, a very reasonable budget.
